Director James R. Gorrie:

Writing always came natural, even at an early age, winning awards in grade school through college.  After a stint as a stringer for UPI, James put aside his writing career for graduate school, where he became a Doctoral Candidate in international relations and comparative politics.  After several years in the financial field, James returned to his first love, and studied the craft of screenwriting at the Twin Bridges Screenwriting Salon in Sherman Oaks, California.  His scripts were recognized in several competitions before deciding to write, direct, and produce his debut film effort, THE INDIAN, which has quite recently garnered awards at various film festivals.  James has several additional scripts he has completed which are in various stages of development.  He is married, has three young sons, and lives in Southern California.
